As Industrial controller for our Czech factory in Karvina you are part of the Stow HQ controlling team and based at HQ in Dottenijs . The HQ controlling group is executing for Stow all industrial controlling, sales controlling and commercial costing activities predominantly from our headquarter office in Dottenijs (Belgium). You will be working together with this team, other departments at HQ as well as with the Karvina plant staff. Next to the Karvina factory you will also be executing other industrial controlling tasks + commercial costing tasks for other factories within the group.
A substantial part of racking & robotics materials for Stow are produced internally: Dottenijs (Belgium), Karvina (Czech Republic), Ovar (Portugal), Izmit (Turkey), Völklingen (Germany), Firminy (France), Sézanne (France),Duisans (France) and Lokeren (Belgium -> Movu Robotics). Our goal is to increase transparency, improve efficiency, standardize systems and processes in order to optimize the sales, operations & distribution flow both for the factories as well as for the many different Stow sales affiliates.
Task and Responsabilities
- Further develop & harmonize the industrial controlling environment allowing to benchmark the different Stow factories:
- Interpreting the operational & financial data through improved SAP (BI) & PowerBI tools
- Actively work on validating and adjusting the local ERP parameters (mainly transformation cost drivers)
- Monitor the standardization in approach, tools and reports between different Stow factories
- Analyzing & report monthly results based on the realized production output of Karvina & other plants:
- Compare current production and operational costs with absorption based on standards / commercial costs
- Rework standards based on executed analysis
- Analyze key cost drivers
- Assisting the business in realizing cost efficiencies
- Follow up & update cost price systems of Karvina and other production entities:
- Verify cost calculations for existing products (= production order analysis)
- Support cost calculations for new products
- Proactively identify costing issues
- Analyze & optimize cost calculation for mixed-group costing (SAP PLC)
- Follow up inventory valuation and orders/projects in execution:
- Weekly/Monthly check of inventory and unit prices
- Follow up on inventory valuation. Analyze stock rotation and verify obsolescence based on historic and future usage
- Identify potential risks impacting stock levels and stock correctness and support during the realization of countermeasures
- Support Intercompany invoicing process from factory:
- Check correctness of actual costed production invoiced to Stow International
- Correct anomalies (steel price issues, over/under absorbed prod. times, …)
- Financial follow up of Projects in cooperation with sales controlling and project management
- Analyze most important internal production driven variances (steel prices, inefficiencies in transformation process, …)
- Proactively identify project issues and have them discussed with project/central management
- Link project valuation with month end results (and provide feedback for correct follow up in sales affiliates)
- Ad hoc analysis on request of management
- Perform analysis and give feedback (ROI calculation, analyze costs between the different production entities, analyze optimal contribution with limited capacity, etc.)
- On longer term take up new/other controlling roles within the stow group.
